Its close to the outlets at National Harbor and National Harbor itself is less than a mile with plenty of activities from restaurants to shops to hotels and the Capitol Wheel as well as a wonderful holiday display.
MGM Resorts has submitted their plans for the $925 million National Harbor Casino Resort in Prince George’s County, Maryland and is now awaiting approval from a planning board and county council.
The plan depicts a 958,836-square-foot facility complete with a 300-room hotel, a 1,200-seat theater, retail and restaurant space. The casino will include 3,600 slot machines and 140 table games.
MGM National Harbor is Maryland’s sixth gaming facility and resort executives hope to break ground this summer, with an opening date planned for July of 2016.
“We appreciate the county’s quick evaluation of these last important items,” said MGM National Harbor President Lorenzo Creighton in a statement. “Their swift action now will help us meet our ambitious goal of opening our doors as soon as the law allows so we can begin generating revenues for the county.”
